Regional Manager – Central Asia

MFR is looking for a Regional Manager with previous experience in the responsible finance or related fields. The Regional Manager will join a dynamic and international team of financial inclusion experts and will be based in MFR Bishkek office and report to the Operations Director and Business Director at the Head Office level.

Tasks and responsabilities

The Regional Manager will be responsible for the business development of the region covered by MFR Bishkek (Central Asia, the Caucasus and Mongolia), will define the regional strategy in close coordination with the HO and lead promotion and marketing activities. The Regional Manager will also oversee the office in Bishkek and manage the staff. The position entails participation at local and regional events, sales to new and existing clients, contract negotiation and monitoring of client satisfaction. It is also expected that the Regional Manager will spend part of his time in the implementation of assignments and ratings, which includes data collection, implementation of interviews and reporting.

Qualifications

  • Masters-level degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or related fields,
  • At least 7-years of professional experience in financial sector, impact investments or relevant international development organizations and projects (e.g. special financing programs),
  • Strong networking and communication skills, demonstrated by previous experience,
  • Proactive, dynamic, self-motivated, and autonomous,
  • Customer oriented and results driven,
  • Analytical skills, and strong command of Microsoft Excel and Office,
  • Spoken and written fluency in English and in Russian is required. Knowledge of Kyrgyz, Tajik or other languages from the region is preferable,
  • Ability to work with a global team and independently.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%, mostly within the region and depending on the context.
  • Preferred location: Bishkek.
