Job description

MFR is looking for a ATLAS Junior Analyst with a strong interest in analyzing the financial performance of credit institutions and managing databases. This role will focus on activities related to the ATLAS Data Platform and will involve collaboration with an international team of financial inclusion specialists. The Junior Analyst will work under the guidance of the Platform Coordinator, the Innovation Director, and the Technical Director.

Tasks and responsibilities

• Reclassify financial statements of financial institutions operating in the financial inclusion sector globally, based on publicly available sources, into the standardized ATLAS database format.
• Conduct country-specific searches to retrieve financial statements from public sources.
• Process financial, operational, and social data submitted by ATLAS partner organizations, ensuring compliance with ATLAS data standards.
• Review and resolve quality control messages generated during data processing, ensuring accuracy and consistency of uploaded data.
• Operate ATLAS online software, Excel tools, and other internal systems to manage the end-to-end data workflow, from source documents to investor-facing dashboards.

Qualifications

• University degree (completed or in progress) with coursework in accounting and banking.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with hands-on experience managing and analyzing data using Excel-based databases.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Collaborative team player with effective interpersonal skills.
• Excellent time management and ability to prioritize multiple tasks efficiently.
• Self-motivated and proactive.
• Solid command of English, both written and spoken.
